Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Thessaloniki – Journey to Mount Athos

Arrival at Thessaloniki Airport.
Transfer to Ouranoupoli, a small town located at the base of Mount Athos, where we will begin our pilgrimage.
Check-in at the hotel, followed by a welcome dinner and briefing on the tour.
Overnight in Ouranoupoli.

Day 2: The Spiritual Journey Begins – Transfer to Mount Athos

Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart early for a transfer to the Port of Ouranoupoli to board a private boat for the journey across the sea to Mount Athos.
Visit the Monastery of Simonopetra, one of the most famous and scenic monasteries of Mount Athos, perched dramatically on a cliffside.
Explore the monastery and learn about its history and significance in the Eastern Orthodox tradition.
Overnight in Mount Athos (accommodation at one of the monasteries or guesthouses).

Day 3: Monasteries of Mount Athos – Spiritual Immersion

Breakfast at the monastery.
Visit other major monasteries of Mount Athos, including Monastery of Vatopedi, Monastery of Iviron, and Monastery of Xenofontos.
Participate in daily Orthodox prayers and Vespers services, offering a unique opportunity for reflection, contemplation, and spiritual connection.
Experience the peace and quiet of the monastic lifestyle, and explore the stunning landscapes surrounding each monastery.
Overnight in Mount Athos (at a different monastery or guesthouse).

Day 4: Spiritual Reflection and Leisure in Mount Athos

Breakfast at the monastery.
Morning visit to the Monastery of St. Paul, known for its beautiful iconography and peaceful surroundings.
Spend the afternoon in personal reflection or participate in a spiritual talk or confession, if available.
Enjoy time for individual prayer, walking in nature, and connecting with the monastic community.
Overnight in Mount Athos.

Day 5: Return to Thessaloniki – Departure

Breakfast at the monastery.
Take the boat back to Ouranoupoli, and transfer back to Thessaloniki.
Transfer to Thessaloniki Airport for your return flight or onward destination.
End of the pilgrimage.
